We are seeking a skilled IT Technical Specialist to join our team.

  • This role is responsible for providing client solutions and incident resolution in an ICT second-level support team.
About the Role

The IT Technical Specialist will actively participate in the provision of client solutions and incident resolution, working closely with the Nominated Supervisor and Information and Technologies Branch.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing or coordinating training for executives and their support staff on newly released technology and systems.
  • Handling sensitive information and data discreetly and in accordance with DoE policy.
  • Maintaining best practices in ICT service delivery and support by keeping up to date with the latest technologies in the IT industry.
  • Assisting with operational responses to emerging needs in collaboration with the team leader and senior managers.
  • Contributing to the development of documentation and knowledge articles for operational infrastructure changes and new initiatives.
  • Developing reports on the progress of initiatives and events, and responding to related issues as they arise.
  • Communicating on behalf of the agency with clients and other relevant groups, focusing on key points and using appropriate language.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of ICT systems and technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
