Job Description:As a Category Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and developing our pet food category.
You will be responsible for buying and sales activities, including new business and growing existing accounts, both locally and overseas.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of food safety and possess negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Requirements:- Experience in a buying role, sourcing ingredients for the pet food industry combined with sales experience selling to pet food manufacturers.
- Willingness to undertake both procurement and sales activities.
- Strong understanding of food safety.
- Ideal qualifications: science or food science degree.
- Connections in pet food manufacturing including suppliers and customers.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
We offer a competitive total remuneration package inclusive of car allowance and phone allowance as well as a Western suburbs head office location with potential one day work from home after 6 months.
