Therapeutic Franchise Manager

">About the Role:

The Therapeutic Franchise Manager will serve as a key strategic leader in the development of therapeutic strategies to support new business proposals and the delivery of clinical trials within their area of expertise.

  • Accountable for creating and optimizing innovative delivery strategies and solutions for Early and Late Phase, multi-service, multi-region studies or programs.
  • Collaborate with experts to differentiate from competitors and actively support long-term business growth through collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop effective delivery strategies and solutions for all projects, addressing specific needs and challenges, and engaging and coordinating Operations Area Lead team members to align with the global operational strategy.

New Business:

In partnership with Business Development, responsible for awarding business to achieve identified new business targets:

  • Evaluate and manage new opportunities from receipt through pricing and proposal development, and to award decision.
  • Support Business Development in preparing for and conducting customer-facing meetings, including training and preparation of the project team.
  • Develop and review project budgets aligned with the requested project strategy and contribution margin targets.

Project Delivery and Governance:

Act as Emerald Clinical project champion for awarded projects, working with Operations Project Delivery Leaders to enable the assigned project delivery team to understand and implement the project strategy:

  • Guide and mentor assigned Project Leads through comprehensive handover of awarded project.
  • Define and communicate the project team profile and organizational structure.
  • Function as an escalation point and governance contact for awarded projects.

About You:

We are seeking a highly experienced professional with:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a related science or healthcare discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in clinical research, including proven track record in operational project delivery and/or drug development.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in business development, ideally in a hands-on capacity.
  • Expert experience in one or more operational areas and ability to understand and implement projects within assigned area of expertise.
