About the Role

The Therapeutic Franchise Head will oversee the development of operational strategies to support new business initiatives and ensure the successful delivery of contracted work within their area of expertise.

  • Responsible for creating innovative delivery solutions that leverage the company's expertise in the relevant therapeutic area, as well as operational capabilities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to drive long-term business growth through effective project execution.
  • Engage with external partners to identify opportunities for collaboration and joint delivery of projects.
  • Develop effective project plans that address the specific needs and challenges of each project and customer.
  • Lead the Operations Area Lead team to align with the global operational strategy in the specified therapeutic area.
  • Create training materials and resources to support project leads in delivering high-quality project outcomes.
New Business:
  • Partner with the Business Development team to secure new business awards and achieve identified targets in the relevant therapeutic area.
  • Evaluate and manage new opportunities from receipt through pricing and proposal development, and make award decisions.
  • Support Business Development in preparing for and conducting customer-facing meetings, including providing content and ensuring alignment with project strategy.
  • Develop and review project budgets aligned with requested project strategies, and with contribution margin targets and pricing strategy agreed with stakeholders.
  • Present at customer meetings, including bid defences and partnership meetings, as required.
  • Coordinate follow-up actions identified at bid defences and other customer/partnership meetings.
Project Delivery and Governance:
  • Act as project champion for awarded projects within the relevant therapeutic area, working with Operations Project Delivery Leaders to enable project delivery teams to understand and implement project strategies.
  • Mentor assigned Project Leads through comprehensive handover of awarded projects, facilitating their understanding of project aspects.
  • Define project team profiles and organizational structures to identify suitable team members for customer projects.
  • Continue to guide and mentor project leads throughout the project lifecycle, adjusting delivery strategies as needed.
  • Function as an escalation point and governance contact for awarded projects within the therapeutic area.
