As a Service Support Services Agreement (SSA) Level 1 Engineer, you will play a key role in collaborating with clients in their Technical Remote Operations Centre (TROC). This involves assessing faults and failures identified with the system, whether on-site or in subsystems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with the client team in the TROC to assess faults and failures.
  • Monitoring the system for alarms, issues, or trends affecting performance or indicating potential faults.
  • Reviewing client-initiated tickets to ensure complete and accurate information for each fault or failure.
  • Triaging tickets to determine initial actions required.
  • Coordinating with Level 2 and Level 3 teams for timely response and resolution of issues.
  • Reviewing logs associated with tickets.
  • Monitoring response times to ensure Key Performance Indicator (KPI) adherence.
  • Proposing innovative features to improve service value for the client.

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Electrical, Electronic, Automation, Computers, Software, or Telecommunication Engineering.
  • Good knowledge of railway signalling systems, software, and hardware.
  • Experience with railway operations such as ERTMS/ETCS, CBTC, Interlocking, ATP Systems.
  • Knowledge of Australian Railway Safety standards.
  • Ability to interact with signalling subsystems across project teams for technical convergence.
  • Experience in complex signalling design and multidisciplinary projects, with understanding of signalling principles, standards, components, and fabrication methods.
  • Experience in major brownfield signalling projects.
  • Ability to work transversally with services and engineering teams.
