About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Health and Safety Lead to join our team at Vector Limited. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for promoting and developing a positive safety culture across all aspects of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Develop and implement initiatives that foster a culture of safety and well-being across our operations.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure that all staff are aware of their health and safety obligations and that we comply with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Develop and Implement Safety Strategies: Translate our safety strategy into concrete objectives and business plans for our operations.
  • Represent the Company: Represent our safety interests with external organizations, authorities, and government bodies.
  • Provide Expert Advice: Provide expert health and safety advice as part of external tendering processes, acquisitions, and transactions.
  • Ensure Customer Compliance: Ensure compliance with customer health and safety requirements and provide improvement advice.
  • Design and Implement Safety Forums: Design, implement, and lead industry forums for customers and retailers, highlighting process improvements for better safety outcomes.
  • Regularly Review and Audit: Regularly review, audit, and inspect our health and safety systems, providing continuous improvement feedback.
  • Influence and Coach: Influence, coach, and mentor senior business leaders in the development of health, safety, and well-being initiatives.
  • Manage Safety-Related Issues: Manage safety-related issues to increase our health and safety capabilities and minimize work-related hazards, incidents, and accidents.
  • Develop and Drive Implementation Plans: Develop and drive implementation plans for the delivery and ongoing management of health and safety activities.
  • Participate in Audits and Risk Assessments: Participate in regular audits and risk assessment activities to ensure effective risk controls are in place.
  • Support Incident Investigations: Provide support and facilitation for significant incident investigations, analyzing the cause, implementing corrective actions, and translating this into training needs across the business.
  • Develop and Maintain Policies and Programs: Develop, implement, and maintain policies and programs that promote a safe, healthy, and productive work environment.
  • Establish Minimum Standards: Establish minimum standards for health and safety and quality for our subcontractors and processes to measure their compliance.
  • Provide Oversight: Provide oversight for internal risk and compliance activities.
  • Develop and Lead Audits: Develop and lead an annual program of audits.
  • Establish Processes and Systems: Establish processes and systems to ensure our subcontracted field services partners align with our incident management and reporting guidelines.
  • Establish and Monitor Audit Regime: Establish and monitor our audit regime for subcontracted field services.
  • Ensure Compliance with Standards: Ensure our subcontracted field services provider upholds our standards for health and safety and has appropriate reporting mechanisms in place.
