Compassionate Animal Caregiver

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled individual to join our team as an Animal Care Professional. This role presents an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of animals in need.
About The Role: We are looking for a dedicated Animal Care Professional to provide exceptional care and attention to dogs, cats, and small pets at our Rehoming Centre.
- Work collaboratively with our team to ensure the highest standard of animal welfare
- Maintain and clean animal housing areas to a high standard
- Administer routine veterinary medications and treatments
- Develop and implement enrichment and behaviour management programs for animals
- Assist with impounding and reuniting lost animals with their owners
- Provide excellent customer service to all visitors to the Rehoming Centre
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Certificate III in Animal Studies or related field (desired)
- Knowledge and experience in animal care in a professional environment
- Previous animal industry experience with dogs and cats
- National Police Clearance Certificate
- Experience using digital management software and data entry
- Open driver's license
To be Successful: You will require excellent communication skills, ability to work in a team and independently, confident dog and cat handling skills, and computer proficiency.
