We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Animal Care Attendant to join our team at our Gold Coast Rehoming Centre. As an Animal Care Attendant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the welfare of animals in our care.
Job DescriptionAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and animal-loving individual to work with us as an Animal Care Attendant. In this rewarding role, you will be responsible for:
- Maintaining and cleaning animal housing to a high standard
- Providing a high standard of animal care, including administering routine veterinary medications and treatments
- Providing enrichment and behaviour management programs for animals
- Impounding and reuniting lost animals with owners
- Assisting customers with pet meet and greets and adoptions
You will be working as part of a dedicated team to ensure the well-being of dogs, cats, and small pets in our care. Your role will involve providing exceptional customer service to all visitors to the Rehoming Centre.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Certificate III in Animal studies, companion animals, dog training or behaviour qualification (desirable)
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience with animal care in a professional environment
- Previous animal industry experience in a similar capacity with dogs and cats
- National Police Clearance Certificate
- Experience using digital management software and data entry
- Open driver's license
