Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Officer to support our finance team on a contract basis through the end of the year.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Process and Manage Accounts Payable Transactions: Ensure timely and accurate processing of accounts payable transactions, adhering to established procedures and systems.
  2. Compliance and Risk Management: Maintain compliance with all relevant procedures, systems, and processes, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  3. Workload Management: Prioritize and multitask effectively, managing workload with minimal supervision, and utilizing intermediate-level skills in Excel to manage data and documentation.
  4. Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research, analysis, and problem-solving to resolve discrepancies, including creditor reconciliation, and demonstrate sound knowledge of enterprise-wide applications.
  5. Communication and Collaboration: Communicate clearly and professionally, both in writing and verbally, to manage customer relationships and internal interactions, and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
  6. Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Exhibit high accuracy and attention to detail in keyboarding and data entry tasks, and manage time efficiently.
Qualifications and Experience
  1. Certificate IV in Business or Relevant Qualifications/Experience: Possess a Certificate IV in Business or relevant qualifications/experience, and proven experience in an accounts payable role within a medium to large enterprise.
  2. Office Suite Skills: Demonstrated experience with the Office suite of applications, particularly Excel and Word, at an intermediate level.
  3. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to investigations and resolution.
  4. Enterprise-Wide Applications: Knowledge of enterprise-wide applications, and high level of accuracy and attention to detail in keyboarding and data entry.
  5. Teamwork and Time Management: Capability to work effectively within a team and manage time efficiently.
