We are seeking a talented Finance Analyst to join our team at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) Science. As a Finance Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the financial activities for UNSW Science and providing end-to-end finance services as a central, trusted source for financial guidance across our Faculties and Divisions.



**Key Responsibilities:**




  • Deliver financial management activities, including financial planning, analysis, forecasting, and reporting across multiple funding sources
  • Work with complex data sets for analysis, modelling, and reporting purposes to support sound financial decisions
  • Develop and maintain effective financial systems and processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on financial matters to UNSW Science staff and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless financial operations and effective financial planning


**Requirements:**




  • Relevant tertiary qualification and completion of a CA or CPA qualification (or equivalent knowledge) and relevant professional sector experience
  • Demonstrated experience in core financial management and financial control processes, financial analysis
  • Sound working knowledge of analytical tools and software
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and its application in financial modelling and analysis
  • Exceptional analytical skill with adaptability to competing priorities and experience managing complex data sets
  • Highly developed time management and organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines whilst maintaining attention to detail
