We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the Head Chef in managing and training a diverse kitchen staff.
- Develop and implement effective Food Safety Plans.
- Cook menu items as per established guidelines and standards.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to design and implement menus that meet customer demands.
- Demonstrate ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Maintain a high level of food safety awareness at all times.
- Hold a Certificate 3 or 4 in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
- Possess a valid Food Handlers Certificate.
- Have prior experience working in a pub/bistro environment.
- Show proficiency in various kitchen areas with hands-on experience.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills.
- Be willing to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Hold full working rights in Australia.
