Job Title: Inventory Control Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our team.

Job Description:

The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for managing the inventory of materials and supplies, ensuring that stock levels are accurate and up-to-date. This will involve analyzing supply chain data to define reorder points and quantities, performing data entry of material orders, and evaluating planning data for parts requirement determination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze supply chain data to define reorder points and quantities
  • Perform data entry of material orders
  • Evaluate planning data for parts requirement determination
  • Manage inventory to ensure appropriate levels of accountability and traceability
  • Raise inventory requisitions for the request of inventory spares
  • Manage third party owned repairable items
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory in the Inventory management System (IMS)
  • Be responsible for Shelf Life management as it pertains to stock level determination
  • Deliver against the Program strategic objectives
  • Deliver on commitments and plan to succeed

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have demonstrated knowledge of and experience in supply support roles and functions. You will also need to have experience with computerized inventory management systems and methodologies, as well as a satisfactory level of physical fitness required to perform certain levels of manual tasking.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in supply support roles and functions
  • Demonstrated experience with computerized inventory management systems and methodologies
  • A satisfactory level of physical fitness required to perform certain levels of manual tasking
  • Ability to work under general supervision and exercise discretion where required
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the supply chain and wider team
  • Strong customer focus
  • Forklift Operators license preferred but not essential
  • Applicants must be Australian citizens to meet Defence security requirements, and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline level security clearance
