About the Role:

As a Personal Care Worker, you will provide comprehensive and client-focused care in line with each client's tailored care plan.

  • Provide personal care and assist clients with daily activities as outlined in their Client Care Plan.
  • Collaborate closely with Registered Nurses to deliver client-specific care, including personal hygiene, toileting, nutrition, mobility, and other essential needs.
  • Identify client care needs and work effectively with the client's care team to ensure high-quality, holistic care.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and team members to foster strong relationships.
  • Support clients with light housekeeping duties to promote independence, including laundry, cleaning, and meal preparation.
  • Maintain accurate daily client notes and promptly report any concerns to the RN/Care Manager.
  • Support clients with mobility aids, range-of-motion exercises, and non-sterile dressings under the supervision of an RN.

You will be part of a supportive team environment that promotes growth and development.

Key Qualifications:
  • A current Senior First Aid certificate, CPR certification, and Manual Handling certificate (valid for at least three months).
  • A roadworthy and insured vehicle with a current driver's license.
  • A recent Federal Police Clearance.
  • Willingness to travel and flexibility with shifts.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with empathy for elderly clients.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards for home care.
  • A commitment to safety, infection control, and emergency procedures.
