Senior Accountant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and client-focused Senior Accountant to join our team. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of our practice, providing leadership to our intermediate accountants, and building strong relationships with our valued clients.

About the Role

This Senior Accountant position offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work in a collaborative team environment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and reviewing the work of two intermediate accountants, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

  • Manage and review the work of two intermediate accountants, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing their queries and providing expert advice.
  • Transition clients from the manager to other team members, fostering a culture of shared responsibility.
  • Collaborate with the offshore team to ensure efficient and accurate data entry and processing.
  • Contribute to the firm's risk management strategy by identifying potential issues and implementing effective solutions.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of three years of experience in public practice accounting.
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage and mentor junior staff.
  • Experience with Xero, BGL, FYI, and Ignition is highly desirable.
