Job Summary:

We are seeking a Property Acquisition Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and acquiring suitable store locations, managing leasing and maintenance requirements, and ensuring a consistent pipeline of potential opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Propose areas of interest in line with Bay Audio's growth strategy
  • Determine and present suitable available tenancies for consideration with relevant stakeholders
  • Manage discussions with Shopping Centre Management regarding tenancy location, size, availability, and commerce
  • Coordinate new store project meetings for relevant stakeholders
  • Manage the build phase from handover through to store opening in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
  • Consult with Shopping Centre Management regarding upcoming relocation opportunities in accordance with Bay Audio's strategy
  • Manage discussions with Shopping Centre Management regarding tenancy location, size, availability, and commerce
  • Coordinate relocation project meetings for relevant stakeholders
  • Manage the build phase from handover through to store opening in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
  • Consult with legal providers and relevant stakeholders to ensure all leases are executed in a timely fashion
  • Maintain appropriate records concerning lease duration
  • Take ownership of new lease and lease renewal negotiations
  • Present any leasing changes to the Bay Audio Australia SLT for consideration
  • Collaborate with the Office Administrator to ensure that all maintenance requests are actioned appropriately
  • Maintain discussions with Shopping Centre Management regarding any potential refurbishments
  • Ensure that appropriate WHS standards are maintained, including but not limited to: Fire Safety, Electrical Test & Tag, and ergonomically suitable workspaces

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Previous experience working in a retail environment
  • Strong understanding of demographics and shopping centre environments
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities
  • Proven interpersonal skills
