Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people with disabilities.

The successful candidate will be based in our Baulkham Hills office and will support APM Futures - a new program delivering highly individualized employment supports to NDIS Participants.

As a Youth Disability Employment Mentor, you will motivate, mentor, and support personal growth, helping participants develop and establish their vocational identity, tailoring supports to their unique needs.

  • Motivate and support personal growth
  • Help participants develop and establish their vocational identity
  • Provide support and mentorship to increase skills development and capacity for work
  • Deliver person-centered supports for participants transitioning from school to work
  • Offer on-site support once employment commences and assist with integration
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Eligibility to work in Australia
  • A current driver's license and a comprehensively insured vehicle
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Willingness to complete a Criminal History Check
  • Able to pass a Working with Children Check
  • Pass the NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Complete an NDIS Worker Orientation Module prior to commencement

Other Information

This is a permanent part-time role working 3 days (22.8 hours) weekly. You will also have the opportunity to travel as required for service delivery and participant support.
