About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic support worker to join our team.

As a support worker, you will have the rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children, young people, and NDIS participants. We focus on building relationships and matching our support workers with individuals who share similar interests and skills.

  • Supervised Contact Visits: supporting visitation between children/young people and their relatives
  • Transport Services: transporting children, young people, and participants to daily activities, appointments, school/work, and community events
  • Mentoring: promoting purposeful relationships and developing a positive sense of self and connection within the local community
  • In-Home Support/Respite: assisting children/young people and their families to develop and maintain routines in a home-setting
  • Access to Social & Community Participation: supporting NDIS participants to engage in their communities or facilitating social participation and engagement in the home setting
  • Alternative Care Arrangements: supporting children and young people in alternate residential settings (such as hotels). Providing daily support, implementing structure and routines with a selected MERAKI Care Team in a therapeutic setting
  • Staffing of Residential Care Placements: providing daily support to children, young people, and participants in residential settings provided by external organisations under various frameworks
  • Development of Daily Living and Life Skills: helping participants become more independent with daily skills, including public transport awareness, financial skills, budgeting, pursuing studies and/or work, and other tasks
