We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who enjoy working with children or young people in their communities, aiming to provide them with the care and support they need to thrive.

This is an opportunity to be part of a supportive team helping young people achieve their full potential through a structured and therapeutic environment.

In our Treatment Foster Care program, we seek individuals or couples to become specialised foster carers, providing positive reinforcement and a loving home environment for young people aged 7-17.

The program helps young people develop essential skills to succeed at home, in school, and in the community, while receiving comprehensive initial and ongoing training and guidance.

Key Aspects of the Role

  • Care for a child or young person aged 7-17 in your own home, providing a stable and nurturing environment.
  • Receive 24/7 on-call support, daily phone calls, and weekly carer support meetings to ensure you feel connected and supported throughout the process.
  • Have access to comprehensive initial and ongoing training, empowering you to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people.
  • Be part of a dedicated team committed to sculpting a successful path for young people in need, guiding them towards a brighter future.

We are looking for individuals/couples who:

  • come from diverse backgrounds and have a suitable living space, including a spare bedroom.
  • can provide a caring and supportive home environment, passing on basic life skills and mentoring young people.
  • are willing to follow a structured program of care and closely collaborate with the OzChild care team.
  • have a solid support network and can commit to supporting a young person's journey towards healing and growth.
