Job Opportunity

We are seeking a reliable and skilled individual to take on the role of Pontoon Caretaker.

The Pontoon Caretaker plays a critical part in our offshore operations team. We require a responsible, safety-conscious, and self-sufficient person to join our crew.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and drive tender vessels and a 60-passenger coral viewing Semi-Submersible.
  • Care for pontoon infrastructure, including cleaning, basic maintenance, and inspections.
  • E nsure the safety and security of the pontoon and its assets, especially outside of operating hours.
  • Support refuelling, supply logistics, waste management, and other operational needs.
  • Monitor weather conditions and report any incidents or hazards.
  • Adhere to biosecurity protocols and environmental standards in line with our commitment to the Great Barrier Reef.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Coxswain Grade 1 (NC) Certificate or higher required.
  • Current Provide First Aid Certificate necessary.
  • Previous experience in marine operations or caretaking roles advantageous.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to carry out minor repairs.
  • Effective communication skills and capacity to work independently.
  • A positive, proactive attitude and commitment to safety and environmental responsibility.
  • Must be physically fit and capable of living and working in a remote, offshore location.
