About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Administrator to join our team at Downer. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the success of our Social Infrastructure and Citizen Services business unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide financial support to ensure accurate monthly reporting and maximize project outcomes.
  • Ensure financial instruments are raised in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, as well as manage and undertake formal document transmittals.
  • Prepare month-end reports, including accrual calculations, cost and revenue forecasting, cash flows, and month-to-date margin metrics.
  • Verify creditor invoices with deliveries and refer any issues to the procurement team.
  • Ensure timely issuance of invoices and progress updates in line with Head Contract requirements.
Requirements
  • Hold or be able to obtain an NV1 Government Security Clearance.
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in cost analysis, financial reporting, or related roles within a corporate or organizational setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with the ability to create complex spreadsheets, reports, and presentations.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex financial information to stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
