About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Administrator to join our team at Downer. As a key member of our Social Infrastructure and Citizen Services business unit, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of accurate financial reporting and maximizing project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide financial support to ensure accurate monthly reporting and maximize project outcomes.
  • Ensure financial instruments are raised in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Manage and create project budgets, as well as manage and undertake formal document transmittals.
  • Prepare month-end reporting, including accrual calculation, cost and revenue forecasting, cashflows, and month-to-date margin metrics.
  • Match creditor invoices with deliveries and refer any issues to the procurement team.
  • Ensure invoices and progress updates are issued on time and in line with Head Contract requirements.
Requirements
  • Hold or be able to obtain an NV1 Government Security Clearance.
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in cost analysis, financial reporting, or related roles within a corporate or organizational setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with the ability to create complex spreadsheets, reports, and presentations.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex financial information to stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to communicate findings and recommendations clearly and concisely.
