Our Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced Principal Electrical Engineer to join our Melbourne-based team. As a key member of our Engineering department, you will be responsible for overseeing electrical studies and design projects, ensuring deliverables meet the highest standards of accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and deliver complex electrical studies and design projects for global clients.
  • Maintain the quality of output produced by the discipline team, ensuring timely delivery of accurate designs.
  • Develop and monitor the production of designs in accordance with Project, Client, and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct reviews of Project electrical drawings to ensure full compliance with design intent.
Your Expertise

To succeed in this role, you will require a strong background in electrical engineering, preferably with 15+ years of post-graduate experience in the industrial processes industry or similar capital projects. Your expertise should include control and automation design, hazardous area design, low voltage design, switchboard functionality, and AS61511 Functional Safety awareness. A Hazardous Area certificate from a registered RTO and proficiency in PLC/DCS configuration would be highly regarded.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 AUD per annum, commensurate with experience. You will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including access to discounts at hundreds of retailers in Australia.
