About The Role:

You will report to the CEO and work within our areas of strategic priority, focusing on aged care and community housing. This position offers significant autonomy to develop and implement an effective advocacy strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyse complex social issues and develop well-articulated policy positions to improve outcomes
  • Establish strong working relationships with government officials, sector representatives, constituents and coalitions
  • Drive results in high-ambiguity contexts

You will have opportunities to work on key projects during the year, including election-related activities, advocacy strategy revisions, budget reviews, and consultations related to the Aged Care Act and regulations.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you must demonstrate a deep understanding of aged care policy and experience in advocacy on social issues. You should also possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, high-level political acumen, strategic thinking, and a commitment to equality, health and safety principles, ethical practices, and cultural diversity.
