Job Title: Business & Legal Affairs Manager

 

At our international television production company, we are seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Business and Legal Affairs Manager. The successful candidate will provide key support in business affairs and legal matters related to scripted television productions.

 

  • Provide comprehensive business affairs and legal support for scripted television productions, including contract review and negotiation.
  • Work closely with production teams, cast, and crew to ensure compliance with industry agreements and regulations.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate production templates and contracts, including clearance and vendor/supplier agreements.
  • Draft bespoke production agreements as required, taking into account specific project needs.
  • Offer expert advice on clearances, compliance, and risk mitigation matters, insurance, and workplace health and safety issues.

 

Key Qualifications

 

  • Qualified lawyer with 4-5 years' post-qualification experience (PQE) and a valid Australian practising certificate.
  • Strong passion and knowledge of the film and television industry.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
