About the RoleWe are currently seeking dedicated Personal Care Workers on a Casual basis to join our team at Kirami Residential Aged Care in Hervey Bay. The primary objective of this position is to deliver exceptional services to residents, encompassing their physical, psychological, cultural, and spiritual well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Demonstrate ability to work effectively with aged individuals.
- Understand and support residents suffering from dementia.
- Collaborate harmoniously and communicate effectively within a team-oriented environment.
- Interpret written and verbal instructions, as well as policies and procedures.
- Commit to delivering care within a compassionate framework.
- Assist residents with daily living activities.
- Comply with individualized care plans as directed by the resident's care plan.
- Support with meal preparation and serving.
- Contribute to resident assessments and documentation.
- Determine individual care/service needs of residents.
- Provide assistance with medications to residents.
- Maintain personal and client/carer safety at all times.
- A current National Police Check.
- Certificate III or IV in Aged Care or progress towards attaining this qualification.
- Experience within a community services organization and knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety regulations.
