This position offers a chance to contribute to the development of core nuclear knowledge and capability across the entire lifecycle of the project.

The role leads the creation of strategies and programs that enable us to generate and justify safety cases for the design, construction, and substantiation of Nuclear Naval Propulsion facilities, ensuring they meet Environmental, Safety, Security and Safeguards performance standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective strategies for managing ANI's nuclear baseline capability to meet all authorisation requirements.
  • Create strategies and programs to enable us to generate and justify safety cases for the design, construction, and substantiation of Nuclear Naval Propulsion facilities.
  • Maintain ongoing alignment with design intent throughout the facility lifecycle.
  • Manage nuclear safety hazards and security threats effectively.
  • Ensure ANI's intelligent customer capability across the supply chain.
Requirements:
  • Australian citizenship is required, along with the ability to obtain and maintain relevant security clearances.
  • Tertiary qualifications in nuclear infrastructure or a related high-hazard industry are highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience developing, implementing, and sustaining workforce capabilities in complex technical or high-hazard environments is necessary.
  • Proven ability to deliver workforce capability outcomes aligned with strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to nuclear or other high-hazard industries.
