Key Responsibilities

This senior nuclear professional is responsible for ensuring the necessary personnel, skills, competencies, and organisational structures are in place to deliver core nuclear knowledge and capability across the entire project lifecycle.

The position leads the development of strategies and programs that enable the creation and justification of safety cases for the design, construction, and substantiation of Nuclear Naval Propulsion facilities, ensuring they meet Environmental, Safety, Security and Safeguards (ESSS) performance standards.

The role applies regulatory best practices, maintains accurate records of key roles and competencies, and adheres to enterprise-wide stakeholder requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Australian citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain relevant security clearances.
  • Tertiary qualifications in nuclear infrastructure or a related high-hazard industry highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience developing, implementing, and sustaining workforce capabilities in complex technical or high-hazard environments.
