Job Title: Hydraulic Fitter

This role requires a skilled professional with experience in machining, hydraulics, and precision measuring instruments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Planning machining requirements by reviewing work orders and technical drawings.
  • Setting up and operating lathes, mills and other machinery to produce precision parts to specification.
  • Monitoring operations, identifying faults or out-of-tolerance machining and making adjustments as required.
  • Maintaining and servicing machines, tools and equipment through cleaning, lubrication and preventative maintenance.
  • Carrying out hand-fitting tasks such as filing and undertaking welding duties if qualified.
  • Performing factory and machine maintenance functions as needed.
  • Working with management, production and quality teams to resolve technical or production issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Trade qualifications as a diesel fitter, mechanic or hydraulics fitter.
  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role.
  • Strong skills in machining, hydraulics, precision measuring instruments and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Proven problem-solving ability, technical expertise and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
