
Precision Machinist Specialist

This role requires a skilled professional with experience in machining, hydraulics, and precision measuring instruments.
Key Responsibilities:- Planning machining requirements by reviewing work orders and technical drawings.
- Setting up and operating lathes, mills and other machinery to produce precision parts to specification.
- Monitoring operations, identifying faults or out-of-tolerance machining and making adjustments as required.
- Maintaining and servicing machines, tools and equipment through cleaning, lubrication and preventative maintenance.
- Carrying out hand-fitting tasks such as filing and undertaking welding duties if qualified.
- Performing factory and machine maintenance functions as needed.
- Working with management, production and quality teams to resolve technical or production issues.
- Trade qualifications as a diesel fitter, mechanic or hydraulics fitter.
- 5+ years' experience in a similar role.
- Strong skills in machining, hydraulics, precision measuring instruments and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Proven problem-solving ability, technical expertise and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
