Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Precision Machinist Specialist to join our team in Devonport. The successful candidate will have experience in machining, hydraulics, and precision measuring instruments.


Your Role

In this role, you will be responsible for planning machining requirements, interpreting technical drawings, and operating lathes, mills, presses, and other workshop equipment to produce precision parts.


Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute machining operations to meet specifications
  • Set up and operate machinery to produce high-quality precision parts
  • Maintain and service machines, tools, and equipment through regular cleaning and preventative maintenance
  • Perform hand-fitting tasks such as filing and undertake welding duties if qualified
  • Contribute to factory and machine maintenance functions as required

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Holding trade qualifications as a diesel fitter, mechanic, or hydraulics fitter
  • Bringing 5+ years' experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrating strong skills in machining, hydraulics, precision measuring instruments, and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Showcasing proven problem-solving ability, technical expertise, and commitment to high-quality workmanship
