About the Role

SBS is seeking highly motivated and talented individuals to join our News and Current Affairs division as Cadets. This 12-month program is designed to provide recent graduates with the skills and experience needed to build a career in broadcast and digital journalism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to SBS News and Current Affairs programs and website through researching, producing, and reporting.
  • Work as part of a team to develop and deliver news content across multiple platforms.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Journalism or a related field.
  • Experience in television, radio, and/or online reporting or production is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of national and international affairs, with a passion for news and current events.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
