About AECOM

Your Role

As a Pursuits and Bids Lead, you will lead the bid lifecycle for infrastructure projects, working closely with clients and contractors to navigate bid processes and manage project pipelines. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Bid Development: Drive bid development for strategic pursuits in collaboration with bid partners and the wider bids and marketing teams.
  • Client Advocacy: Act as an independent reviewer and client advocate on must-win decisions.
  • Proposal Writing: Craft compelling submissions that highlight our value proposition, service differentiation, and key client messages.
  • Bid Management: Manage the bid process alongside technical leads, ensuring timely, high-quality submissions and presentations.
  • Client Engagement: Liaise with clients and participate in tender briefings, debriefs, and implement lessons learned.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • At least 5 years of experience in Bids and Pursuits processes, encompassing all aspects of winning work, including pre-contracts, tendering, and pursuits management.
  • Proven ability to build strong internal client relationships, gain trust, and effectively support senior leaders in high-pressure, deadline-driven environments.
  • Infrastructure experience is required, preferably with a background in Civil Infrastructure, though candidates from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
  • Proactive team player with strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and exceptional attention to detail.
