Leadership Opportunity in Defence Systems

This role presents a chance to lead a world-class team that contributes to building defence systems safeguarding Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute design projects within a portfolio.
  • Lead technical staff by ensuring consistent planning and reporting of design scope across the portfolio.
  • Identify scope conflicts and efficiency opportunities across the portfolio.
  • Monitor the health of design projects and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting to the Engineering Manager.

Requirements:

  • More than 10 years' experience in the Australian Defence Industry.
  • Management of multi-disciplinary design development programs.
  • Leadership of multi-disciplinary design development teams.
  • Work within an accredited Quality Management System environment.
  • Broad experience in designer roles within design development teams.
  • NV1 Security Clearance required.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Software, or similar).
  • Chartered Engineer (CPEng) or RPEQ, INCOSE CSEP, or Defence engineering accreditations desired.
