Job Description

The Operational DER Management team is responsible for integrating distributed energy resources into operational and technical functions.

Australia leads the world in distributed PV integration, with over half the National Electricity Market supplied by DER in some periods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop software solutions.
  • Use Python programming with a focus on test-driven development.
  • Create control room visualisation interfaces using SQL building blocks.
  • Contribute to improving AEMO tools for managing low demand / high DER periods.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 5+ years in software development or the energy industry.
  • Significant experience using Python to build large-scale systems.
  • Quantitative analysis skills, including problem solving, modelling, and critical thinking.
  • Experience working with subject matter experts.
