Decarbonisation and Sustainability Expert

This role will be instrumental in transitioning Australia towards a more sustainable future. You will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of our battery energy storage systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform technical activities as per long-term service agreements.
  • Conduct planned and unplanned maintenance on battery energy storage systems.
  • Support project teams during commissioning of these systems.
  • Address and report warranty and technical issues, and propose product improvements.
  • Maintain customer relationships through effective communication.
  • Prepare and present detailed service reports with recommendations.
  • Act as a technical advisor to customer meetings.
  • Write detailed service work reports and maintain accurate documentation.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Trade, and 2+ years of experience with energy storage systems and/or renewable energy, power systems design and communication networks.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent Electrical Trade qualification.
  • Valid A Grade NSW Electrical license.
  • Preferably 2 to 4 years' experience in battery energy storage systems, renewable energy, power systems design and communication networks.
  • Knowledge of LV and MV systems, EMS, battery modules, inverter technology, online platform communication systems, industrial networks and protocols, PLC and control systems, PV systems, protection relays, variable frequency drives, HVAC, fire alarm and suppression systems, advanced firewall and router programming, AS/NZS 3000:2018 electrical installations.
  • Experience in HV Switching Operations.
  • Experience in BESS or Renewable Energy installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and commissioning.
  • Detail-oriented, project management mindset, good collaboration skills, proficient in MS Office, excellent report writing and communication skills.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to travel at least 70% of the time.
  • Must be authorized to work in Australia without sponsorship.
