Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our Power Systems team. As a key member of our Digital Power Application Centre, you will be responsible for designing, configuring, and optimizing Microgrid systems and related SCADA solutions to provide customers with reliability and optimized energy management solutions.

You will utilize your technical expertise across key technical areas such as solar, batteries, storage, generators, renewable energy sources, and other emerging technologies. Conduct site visits for requirements assessments, installations, testing, commissioning, and performance analysis requirements. Collaborate with Project Managers and other internal stakeholders in meeting technical standards and adhering to project goals and customer requirements.

Leverage Schneider software, services, and products to interpret and apply relevant standards, protocols, and project plans. Site travel may be required to support customer requirements on both a local and national basis.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field
  • Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience in a similar Project Engineering role focused on Microgrids or Renewable Energy
  • Technical background and understanding of PLC/SCADA systems, coding, and Modbus
  • Well-developed communication skills and confident in customer engagement
  • Strong problem-solving skills, analytical approach, and project management capabilities
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, managing multiple tasks
