Overview
Our organization focuses on supporting Australian small and medium-sized enterprises with financial products and cashflow solutions. The role of Business Development Manager is critical in driving business growth within the Commercial/Asset Finance Broker channel.
This position involves building new business relationships while maintaining strong ties with customers and brokers, as well as contributing to brand expansion through industry events and sector presentations.
We are seeking a highly experienced BDM with established connections in the Commercial/Asset Finance Broker channel. This individual will use developed relationship skills to increase revenue through our broker channel and collaborate with internal teams to prioritize customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate Product Distribution: Build relationships with large corporate and enterprise-level clients to distribute our products effectively.
- Prospect and Develop Business: Expand your professional network across target industries to drive business growth.
- Achieve Targets: Own your activities to meet or exceed set targets.
- Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work with the Broker Sales team to capture opportunities and collaborate with third-party introducers as needed.
- Product Implementation: Ensure successful product implementation and rollouts for new clients.
- Evaluate Opportunities: Assess opportunities from sales and risk perspectives to ensure alignment with broader business objectives.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- At least 2 years of experience in a Sales/BDM role within the finance sector.
- Experience delivering complex financial solutions to corporate or enterprise-level clients.
- A proven track record of success in consultative sales roles dealing with sophisticated business clients.
- The ability to understand financial risks and levers, particularly relating to working capital.
- Credit experience is advantageous but not essential.
This role offers:
- The opportunity to develop and execute quarterly/annual sales plans within your region to meet objectives.
- The chance to activate and maintain a network of brokers, onboard, train, and develop new brokers.
- The ability to represent our organization at aggregator and industry events, build trust, and establish long-term relationships with broker networks.
- The responsibility to manage key relationships with aggregator sales personnel at the state level.
- The challenge to build our brand awareness in your region and stay up-to-date with market trends.
