
Enterprise Governance Specialist

This role is responsible for protecting the Group's assets, people, customers and brand through the strategic direction and governance of Business Resilience.
The leader will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight to build and sustain world-class resilience capabilities. They will lead design, implementation and ongoing refinement of strategic uplift programs to advance Business Resilience priorities and execute a diverse portfolio of continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen governance, enhance process excellence, uplift organisational capability and enable large-scale change management across the Group.
They will work across all Group functions to enable integrated and rapid responses to complex risks and disruptions. The leader will be responsible for resilience planning and development of strategic capabilities to adapt and respond in a dynamic operating environment. They will partner with stakeholders to deliver enterprise-wide resilience outcomes and manage a dedicated team and specialist suppliers.
Suitable candidates will demonstrate strong stakeholder influence at executive and operational levels, deep expertise in transformation and risk programs, proven people leadership, and a culture of resilience, agility and proactive risk management.
Responsibilities:- Lead delivery of a complex portfolio of uplift programs for Business Resilience
- Partner across all Group functions to enhance governance, process excellence, capability uplift and enable rapid, integrated responses to complex risks
- Direct accountability for a dedicated team and specialist suppliers within enterprise-wide resilience initiatives
- Minimum 10+ years progressive experience in enterprise governance, portfolio management, strategic operations, continuous improvement, or similar
- Tertiary qualification with advanced qualification in Portfolio Management, Crisis Management, Business Continuity, Risk Management, Safety Systems or related discipline (Master's degree preferred)
- Minimum 10+ years progressive experience in enterprise governance, continuous improvement or business resilience roles
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing governance frameworks, risk frameworks systems, and business continuity programs
- People leadership experience
- Ability to understand regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practice crisis responses
- Strategic thinking and systems design with ability to conceptualize and implement enterprise-wide solutions
- Change management expertise with demonstrated success in driving organisational transformation and system adoption
- Executive presence and ability to influence senior leadership, board-level committees, and external stakeholders
- Complex project management skills with experience managing multiple concurrent initiatives across diverse business units
- Matrix leadership capabilities with proven success through influence
- Strong change management capabilities and exceptional communication skills for executive audiences
- Stakeholder engagement across internal divisions, regulatory bodies, emergency services, and community organisations
- Negotiation and consensus-building to manage competing priorities
- Cultural intelligence and ability to work across diverse organisational cultures and external partnerships
- Continuous improvement capabilities, including process optimisation
