Residential Building Certification Professional

Our organization seeks an experienced Residential Building Certification Professional to join our team in NSW. In this key role, you will be responsible for providing timely and accurate certification services on various residential projects across New South Wales.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Completing Construction Certificates, Complying Development Certificates, Occupation Certificates, Crown Certificates, and Building Code of Australia assessments within designated timeframes;
  • Conducting site inspections and client meetings to ensure project compliance;
  • Providing expert building compliance advice to clients from diverse backgrounds;
  • Investigating and resolving customer inquiries in a professional manner;
  • Participating in business improvement strategies to enhance the team's performance;
  • Assisting Team Leaders in mentoring junior staff members and enhancing their skills and knowledge;
  • Representing the organization at industry events, conferences, and seminars as required.
Key Requirements:
  • A restricted (Class 1 & 10 residential buildings) registration (A3); or A Building Inspector Residential Certifier who can carry out inspections registration (A4) with NSW Fair Trading;
  • Relevant qualifications, such as Diploma in Building Surveying, Bachelor in Construction Management or other recognized by the Building and Development Certifiers Regulation;
  • Industry experience assessing and determining Construction Certificates, Complying Development Certificates, and Occupation Certificates for class 1 & 10 residential buildings, along with knowledge of relevant applicable legislation;
  • Construction Induction Card and strong safety mindset;
  • Current driver's license and legal work rights in Australia.
