Job Description

We are seeking a committed individual to join our Board as a Volunteer Director.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the strategic governance of a values-driven organisation at a pivotal time of growth and transformation.

The selected candidate will have the privilege of representing the interests of Victorians who volunteer regularly.

Our evolving board focuses on developing a high performing, strategically aligned board composed of professional directors who bring strong governance capability and diverse experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic oversight and governance of our operations and impact
  • Contribute to board discussions with insight, independence, and integrity
  • Support our mission, values, and strategic priorities
  • Ensure compliance with legal, financial, and risk management responsibilities
  • Champion diversity, inclusion, and innovation in volunteering
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in organisational governance
  • Appropriate qualifications or equivalent experience in governance, leadership, finance, law, policy, or related fields
  • Strategic insight into the not-for-profit, community, or other volunteering sectors
  • Ability to think critically, ask the right questions, and engage collaboratively
  • A values-aligned approach to leadership and decision-making
