Business Development Manager for Client Solutions

GLG is seeking a professional to co-lead our Public Equity Client Solutions team in Sydney, prioritizing commercial, development, compliance, and people targets.

They will support and manage research inquiries from client firms in Australia and New Zealand, while collaborating with the Sales team to expand our presence in the region.

The ideal candidate will develop and implement a business plan to achieve commercial targets, track team performance, and create plans to accelerate growth and revenue.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing a business plan in collaboration with the Leadership team, Sales team, and GLG stakeholders to achieve commercial targets.
  • Ensuring best-in-class client service practices through coaching and supporting direct reports in their professional development plans.
  • Facilitating high-value engagements between GLG experts and clients while maintaining industry-leading standards in compliance.
  • Supporting the Sales team in growing GLG client relationships in ANZ, including new clients and senior stakeholders.
  • Working closely with the GLG Councils Team to develop relationships with GLG's most respected thought leaders and business professionals.
  • Collaborating with the Sales team to program live in-country meetings or teleconferences on relevant subject matter and news-worthy events to our clients.

Requirements include:

  • 5+ years of experience in consulting, banking, information services, market research, or other professional services or start-up environments.
  • A strong go-getter attitude and track record of business growth or turnaround.
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate a team of client service professionals.
  • A successful track record of working in fast-paced, client service environments.
  • Passion for problem-solving.
  • Outstanding communication skills and willingness to call and engage senior professionals.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) skills.
  • Understanding of the business climate and interest in working across industries, subjects ranging from industrials to consumer to healthcare.
