Job Opportunity

This is a challenging role as an Auto Electrician who will be based in the Kalgoorlie Branch and services surrounding customers in the Goldfields region. The primary objective of this position is to provide expert-level maintenance and repair services for Caterpillar products.

  • Maintain and repair Caterpillar products in the field from the Kalgoorlie branch, and across the Goldfields region on various customer sites.
  • Carry out repairs, maintenance and servicing, and manage work orders efficiently.
  • Carry out Caterpillar product improvement plans and product support programs while maintaining and operating in a safe working environment.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of automotive electrical technology, with post-trade experience and previous Caterpillar experience in a field service environment.

  • Australian recognised Automotive Electrical Technology Trade Certificate with post-trade experience is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in an isolated and remote environment is crucial.
  • Ability to work independently without continuous direct supervision is required.
  • Previous post-trade Caterpillar experience in a field service environment is necessary.
  • Strong safety values are essential.
  • Ability to organise work teams and delegate tasks effectively is vital.
  • Extensive diagnostic and fault-finding skills are required.
  • A valid Forklift ticket and LR Drivers Licence are mandatory.
  • Caterpillar product knowledge and maintenance experience are highly valued.
