As a highly skilled and experienced Auto Electrician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing Caterpillar equipment in the field from our Kalgoorlie branch, as well as servicing surrounding customers in the Goldfields region.

About this Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Field Service Auto Electrician. Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, you will work independently in an isolated and remote environment, carrying out repairs, maintenance and servicing on various Caterpillar products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair Caterpillar products out in the field from our Kalgoorlie branch, and service surrounding customers in the Goldfields region.
  • Carry out repairs, maintenance and servicing, and manage work orders efficiently.
  • Caterpillar product improvement plans and product support programs should be prioritized while maintaining and operating in a safe work environment.
Requirements:
  • A recognised Australian Automotive Electrical Technology Trade Certificate with post-trade experience.
  • The ability to work under pressure in an isolated and remote environment.
  • Able to work and seek out work opportunities without continuous direct supervision.
  • Previous post-trade Caterpillar experience in a field service environment.
  • Demonstrate strong safety values and practices.
  • Able to organise work teams and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Extensive diagnostic and fault-finding skills are essential.
  • Forklift ticket and minimum of LR Drivers Licence are mandatory.
  • Caterpillar product knowledge and maintenance experience are necessary.
