Job Overview

As an Auto Electrician, your role will be based in the Kalgoorlie Branch, servicing customers in the Goldfields region. You will work in a collaborative team environment with a strong focus on safety, carrying out repairs and maintenance on various Caterpillar equipment including underground, surface, building, and construction machines.

This position offers the opportunity to work with Cat machinery solutions for earthmoving businesses, including new and used equipment sales, heavy equipment rental, and parts, servicing, and merchandise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair Caterpillar products from the Kalgoorlie branch and across the Goldfields region at customer sites.
  • Carry out repairs, maintenance, and servicing, and manage work orders efficiently.
  • Implement Caterpillar product improvement plans and product support programs while maintaining a safe work environment.

Requirements

  1. Australian recognised Automotive Electrical Technology Trade Certificate with post-trade experience is essential.
  2. Ability to work under pressure in isolated and remote environments.
  3. Self-motivated individuals who can work independently without direct supervision are preferred.
  4. Previous post-trade Caterpillar experience in a field service environment is highly desirable.
  5. Strong safety values and adherence to protocols are required.
  6. Leadership skills and ability to delegate tasks effectively are necessary.
  7. Extensive diagnostic and fault-finding skills are expected.
  8. Hold a valid Forklift ticket and minimum of LR Drivers Licence.
  9. Caterpillar product knowledge and maintenance experience are highly valued.
