Job Overview

Your role as a Field Service Auto Electrician will be based in the WesTrac Kalgoorlie Branch and will service surrounding customers in the Goldfields region.

You will report to the Field Service Supervisor and work collaboratively in a team environment with a strong focus on safety.

  • Maintaining and repairing Caterpillar products out in the field from the Kalgoorlie branch, and possibly across the Goldfields region on various customer sites.
  • Carrying out repairs, maintenance and servicing and managing work orders.
  • Carry out Caterpillar product improvement plans and product support programs whilst maintaining and operating in a safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent technical support and repair services for Caterpillar equipment.
  • Ensure all work is carried out to a high standard and meets company quality expectations.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of work completed and report any issues or concerns.
Requirements
  • Australian recognised Automotive Electrical Technology Trade Certificate with post trade experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in an isolated and remote environment.
  • Ability to work and seek out work opportunities without continuous direct supervision.
  • Previous post trade Caterpillar experience in a field service environment.
  • Demonstrate strong safety values.
  • Ability to organise work teams and delegate tasks.
  • Extensive diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
  • Must have Forklift ticket.
  • Must have a minimum of LR Drivers Licence.
  • Caterpillar product knowledge and maintenance experience.
