About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Records Officer to join our team at the Women's and Children's Health Network (WCHN) in North Adelaide.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a multi-skilled team contributing to an efficient and effective Medical Record and Patient Registration service. As a Medical Records Officer, you will be responsible for:

  • Working on a rotational roster within the Medical Records Department and Patient Registration;
  • Contributing to a comprehensive high-quality, proactive and responsive patient registration and reception service to the organisation;
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Sound communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with consumers, staff, external agencies and members of the public;
  • A high level of interpersonal skills and incorporating conflict and aggressive behaviour management skills;
  • The ability to work independently, as part of a team and to function in and promote a multi-disciplinary team approach;
  • Knowledge and understanding of the principles of confidentiality and information security in a health setting;
  • An understanding of high-quality customer service.
