Overview

The Women's and Children's Health Network (WCHN) is a leading provider of healthcare services in South Australia. We are seeking an experienced Medical Records Officer to join our team in North Adelaide.

Job Summary

This is a casual, 14-month term contract position, working as part of a multi-skilled team contributing to an efficient and effective Medical Record and Patient Registration service. The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Working on a rotational roster within the Medical Records Department and Patient Registration;
  • Contributing to a comprehensive, high-quality, proactive, and responsive patient registration and reception service to the organisation;
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Sound communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with consumers, staff, external agencies, and members of the public;
  • A high level of interpersonal skills, including conflict and aggressive behaviour management skills;
  • The ability to work independently, as part of a team, and to function in and promote a multi-disciplinary team approach;
  • Knowledge and understanding of the principles of confidentiality and information security in a health setting;
  • Understanding of high-quality customer service;

  • A salary package up to $43,729 per year ($30.01 - $32.28 per hour + 25% casual loading);
