Visual Merchandising Leader Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Visual Merchandising expert to drive creative strategies and execution across our retail stores. This part-time role reports to the General Manager – Womenswear and is responsible for setting visual merchandising directives, designing window displays, and creating promotional materials.

This position offers an opportunity to be part of a supportive, growing retail business that values its people and brand evolution. The successful candidate will work three days per week at our Support Office in Malvern, collaborating with teams to achieve visual standards and maximize promotional impact.

Main Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have previous leadership experience in visual merchandising within retail, design or related tertiary qualifications, and proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite. They will be proactive, solutions-oriented, and highly organized with good time management skills.

The following responsibilities will be key to this role:

  • Establish and implement visual merchandising strategies reflecting seasonal products, trends, and brand direction.
  • Design window displays aligned with marketing campaigns.
  • Create and oversee promotional print materials.
  • Communicate visual merchandising directives through clear briefs.
  • Lead visual merchandising execution for new store openings and train retail teams.
  • Support and mentor team members to achieve visual standards.
  • Collaborate with marketing to maximize promotional impact.
  • Plan store layouts and product flow for optimal sales performance.
  • Enhance flagship store presentation and identify visual innovation opportunities.
  • Conduct store visits to ensure standards are maintained.
  • Source props and manage external suppliers.
  • Manage budgets and timelines to ensure timely delivery of creative materials.
  • Maintain effective communication with teams for seamless execution.
  • Provide feedback and coaching to improve visual presentation across stores.
  • Contribute to seasonal planning and presentations.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Previous leadership experience in visual merchandising within retail.
  • Design or related tertiary qualifications preferred.
  • Willingness to travel nationally as needed.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Excel, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly organized with good time management.
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset in fast-paced environments.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
