Front Office Clerk

We are looking for an organized and enthusiastic individual to join our Accident & Emergency Administrative team as Night Duty Officer. This role also has the potential for some day and evening shifts.

">

Key Duties Include:

">
  • ">
  • Ensuring seamless coordination and support within our private Accident & Emergency department.">
  • Adapting and being flexible to assist other areas of the business as needed, including attending the Front Reception and Emergency Reception, or addressing Patient Services inquiries.">
  • Efficiently checking-in patients and managing ambulance arrivals.">
  • Proficiently handling cash and EFTPOS transactions and providing informed financial consent information.">
  • Skillfully processing patient billing and liaising with third parties such as Medicare, DVA and Workcover.">
  • Verifying fund coverage and generating self-funding quotes.">
  • Coordinating with a large and friendly clinical staff team to ensure a smooth patient experience.">
  • Precise data entry using multiple computer systems to ensure patient information is updated.">
  • Scanning patient documentation.">
  • Providing various administrative support to relevant departments.">

Requirements:

You will bring:

  • ">
  • An understanding of hospital mainframe systems and strong computer literacy including proficient keyboard and MS Office.">
  • Desired Qualifications: A Certificate in Medical Terminology.">
  • Previous roles in Hospital, Medical Reception, or Health Fund environments are highly desired.">
  • Adept at navigating multiple computer systems in a fast-paced setting.">
  • Meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to work independently.">
  • Skilful at completing tasks within designated timeframes.">
