Regional Emergency Response Coordinator

The Emergency Management Support Officer plays a pivotal role in developing, maintaining and coordinating emergency management and business continuity planning within the region.
This position involves establishing and maintaining strong networks and relationships with internal and external partners and stakeholders to facilitate regional-level interests in emergencies.
In times of events/emergencies, positions within the Emergency Management Team will be tasked with undertaking designated roles in support of response, relief and recovery efforts.
Main Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the formulation, implementation and management of emergency management policy initiatives and programs.
- Operate as an effective team member in responding to queries, providing timely advice, undertaking follow-up actions and identifying emerging issues.
- Assist with monitoring and reporting on priority issues, risks and trends, and prepare comprehensive reports and briefs.
Requirements:
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency/valid work permit/visa.
- Candidate's CV and Cover Letter (max 2 pages) outlining suitability to the role in line with Key Selection Criteria.
- Pre-employment screening including national police check and misconduct screening for preferred candidates.
