About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic professional with strong debt collection experience to join our team.

This role is essential in supporting our Senior Accounts Receivable and Financial Accounting team, ensuring timely recovery of outstanding accounts while maintaining respectful and compassionate communication with clients.

This position requires a balance of financial precision and emotional intelligence, especially when dealing with sensitive situations involving aged care clients.

  • Debt Collection: Generate and maintain Debtors' Reports across all business lines, Monitor overdue accounts and initiate follow-ups, Liaise with internal AR team and external debt collection agencies
  • Communicate recommendations and outcomes to management, Manage the Debt Collection inbox efficiently, Payments & Receipting: Process payments via phone and bank statements, Accurately allocate payments to appropriate accounts
  • Resident & Staff Support: Assist clients and families with account queries, Respond to general AR-related inquiries with professionalism and empathy, Provide backup support to team members when required
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage debtors' reports and monitor overdue accounts
  2. Initiate follow-ups and liaise with internal and external stakeholders
  3. Process payments and accurately allocate them to relevant accounts
  4. Assist clients and families with account queries and provide backup support
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in debt collection and accounts receivable
  • Proven technical competence and attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Advanced computer skills (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
